This website is is hosted by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Controller according to Art. 4, par. 7 GDPR is the President of KIT, Professor Dr.-Ing. The Data Protection Commissioner of KIT can be contacted at datenschutzbeauftragter@kit.edu or by ordinary mail with "Die Datenschutzbeauftragte" (the data protection commissioner) being indicated on the envelope.

Connection data

When using the website for information purposes only, i.e. when you do not register or transmit other information, we will only collect the personal data that are transmitted by your browser to our server according to the settings made by you. For viewing our website, we collect the data required for this purpose and needed for ensuring stability and security according:

the IP address of the requesting client,
the date and time of the access,
the type of the request,
the status of the request,
the amount of transferred data, and
the user agent of the client (which contains information about the browser and the operating system).

The log files are kept for security reasons and are deleted after a maximum of 14 days. The information in these logs can be evaluated for statistical purposes, but you as an individual will remain anonymous.
